the laughing horses
and rotting roses
did you think i wouldnt notice
your betrail sinks deeper
than a diamond cast to sea
they all said dont you keep her
the shallow lady that was me
i tend to borrow your mothers voice
just so i can sound as familiar as possible
and to love other men would be no choice
though you just stand and watch me toss and fall
the sandcastle we made long ago
is ruind by the tide that wash to shore
and when i use my speaking in a tone rather low
i feel it withing every bone
the way you let me lie alone at night
and the way i try to explain
you dont even have the passion to fight
i know you dont love me and it is a terrible pain
